How we use your information.
We collect as little as we can, we use it only to run Innovate Chestermere, and we never sell it. Last updated November 7, 2026.
Who we are
Innovate Chestermere is a community non-profit in formation in Chestermere, Alberta. For any question about your information, write to hello@innovatechestermere.ca.
What we collect, and why
- Sign-up form: your name and email address, and any optional details you choose to give (your role, business stage, business, message and how you heard about us). We use them to contact you about events and updates.
- Founders Night RSVP: your name, email address, number of guests, business stage and any question you add, to plan the evening and to tell you the date and venue.
- Introduction calls: your name, email address, topic, note and chosen time, only to arrange and hold that call.
- Website assistant: the messages you type. Your name and email address are stored only if you clearly agree, so that the assistant can add you to a list or pass your question to a person.
- Community survey: the survey is a Google Form in our own Google account. Your answers are stored in that account and are used only to plan our programs.
What we do not collect
- This website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no tracking cookies.
- We do not store your IP address or browser details with anything you send us.
- To prevent abuse, we keep a short, one-way scrambled code for your internet connection for up to two days. It is not linked to your name or email address.
- Your browser may remember your light or dark theme choice, and your assistant conversation for the open tab only. Neither is sent to us for any other purpose.
Who processes your information for us
- Cloudflare hosts the website and its database (in western North America) and delivers our team notification emails.
- Resend delivers the one confirmation email you receive after you sign up, RSVP or book a call. It receives your name and email address only to send that message, which contains no tracking.
- Anthropic (Claude), with Google Vertex AI as a backup, processes messages sent to the website assistant in order to write answers.
- Google stores community survey answers in our Google account.
How long we keep it
- Assistant conversations: seven days, then deleted automatically.
- Abuse-prevention codes: up to two days.
- Sign-ups, RSVPs and bookings: until you ask us to remove them.
